Campus Tours at Southern University
Tours are given - Spring Tours (January – May) Monday thru Thursday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Friday at 10 a.m. only.
- Summer Tours (June and July) 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. only.
- Fall Tours will begin in September and will be given Monday thru Thursday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Friday at 10 a.m. only.
- Tours are not given during the month of August.
There are two ways to schedule a tour: - Call The Office of Admissions and Recruitment at 225-771-2430 and schedule a tour by phone.

Revised Policies and Procedures for Campus Tours
In an effort to have campus tours run smoothly and efficiently, listed below are revised policies and procedures for tours. - Visitations exclude holidays and Southern University closures.
- All tour requests must be submitted at least one week prior to the intended date of visitation, as space is limited. ALL TOURS MUST BE CONFIRMED BY THE OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITMENT.
- If a 10 a.m. campus tour is late more than 15 minutes, then it will be given at the next tour time of 2 p.m. However, if the tour can’t wait till 2 p.m., it cannot be guaranteed an orientation or a walking tour of Southern University.
- If a 2 p.m. campus tour is late more than 30 minutes, the tour cannot be guaranteed an orientation or a walking tour of Southern University.
- Southern University Student Ambassadors will give the walking or riding tours of the campus.
- Tours are not given during the months of August.
